The Citadel Leader Development Model
What is The Citadel Principled Leader Development Model?
Cadet Pauletoria Jones, Cadet Jason Quick, and Cadet Daniel Woodberry competed in an Ethics Competition at the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Southeast Conference in Richmond, VA, held March 22-25, 2007.
The Honor Committee is setting a new standard for training and succession management. In order to efficiently support the Honor System, the 2007 Honor Committee has been working closely with the 2008 Honor Committee, providing members with practical experience.
The Citadel Honor Committee officers and battalion representatives have been selected for the 2007-2008 academic year following an extensive training program.
Beginning on February 1, rising Honor Representatives will participate in a month-long training program designed to prepare these leaders for their roles in supporting the Cadet Honor Code.By the end of the Training Program, the Honor Committee Nominees will be ready to carry such responsibilities as educating the Corps of Cadets on the Honor System, conducting investigations, and serving as Trial Counsel, Defense Counsel, and Honor Court Members. Most importantly, Honor Representatives will demonstrate a willingness to live by “the spirit of the Honor Code.”At the end of training, new Honor Committee Officers will be elected.
